The Ministry of Labour & Employment has issued a clarificatory Circular citing the recent judgment titled, ESIC vs. Texmo Industries and thereby clarifying that conveyance allowance paid to employees will not form a part of Wages as defined in the Employee’s State Insurance Act, 1948.
